Code Across America: A Week of Civic InnovationShare This

From February 24 through March 4, hundreds of passionate citizens around the country will come together to “Code Across America” – to make their cities even better. In over a dozen cities, there will be hackathons to build civic apps, “brigades” to deploy existing ones, unconferences to plan for the year ahead, and meetups to strengthen the community.

Details

When: Simultaneous event, February 25; Ongoing, February 24 – March 4
What: Civic innovation events ranging from hackathons and app deployments to unconferences
Who: Urbanists, Civic Hackers, City Reps, Developers, Designers, etc — anyone with the passion to make their city better
Where: Fifteen cities and growing! (Currently: Austin, Chattanooga, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Honolulu, Macon, New Orleans, Norfolk, Oakland, Philadelphia, Raleigh, San Diego, San Francisco, and Santa Cruz.)

    Hey, does CFA have an EIN (501-c-3)?  I’d like to count my day as volunteer hours with the company I work for, and if enough people from my company can sign up, I think they’ll chip in a dollar amount proportional to the number of hours volunteered.
