Alan Palazzolo2011 Fellow

Alan Palazzolo is a web architect, focusing on open source software, data visualization, and mapping. He works in the non-profit and NGO sectors, having worked for multiple organizations at home and abroad. He is an active contributor to the Drupal community and other open source projects, and he is a firm believer that open source is more than just a software methodology. Specifically, he is one of the lead developers of the Drupal OpenLayers module, which is a robust solution for web mapping in Drupal. He received his BS in Computer Information Systems from Appalachian State University. As a 2011 Code for America Fellow, he worked primarily on Change by Us, both as a front and back end developer, as well as managing the server administration; he also was a lead on open sourcing the code.
