Josh Stroud

Josh Stroud is a software engineer passionate about human-centered technology. He found his way to Code for America through his lived experience with California’s social safety net. Before software, he worked on medical devices like smart prosthetics, robotic eating aids for Parkinson’s Disease, and neuromodulation for sleep. He got his start at Applied Minds, a technology studio which serves government and commercial customers. Outside of work, Josh enjoys exploring the San Francisco Bay, connecting with friends and family, and attending local tech events. Josh graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in mechanical engineering and EECS, and coding bootcamp App Academy.
