Rebecca Piazza (she/her)

Rebecca Piazza has spent more than 25 years helping make government technology work better for the people it serves. She’s led teams and projects at the federal, state, and local levels, both inside government and in mission-driven organizations.
Rebecca comes to Code for America from USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service, where she served as Senior Advisor for Delivery, working closely with programs like SNAP and WIC to modernize how benefits are delivered using service design and technology. Before that, Rebecca led teams to make digital services more effective and human centered as the Vice President of Program Delivery at Nava and the Executive Director of 18F at the General Services Administration.
Rebecca began her career improving government services as a software developer and product manager on projects that ranged from improving people’s experience with their department of motor vehicles to creating the online application for US citizenship. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Tulane University and lives in Washington D.C. When not at work, Rebecca can be found listening to audiobooks, lifting heavy weights, and spending time with her two children.
