Alexandra Lockhart (she/they)

Alex Lockhart (she/her/they) is a Recruiter at Code for America. With a passion for great creating a great candidate experience and a human centered recruiting process, Alex takes pride in collaborating with hiring managers and team members to conduct a full cycle recruiting process from sourcing and outreach to extending an offer (the best part!). Alex attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA for a BA in communication studies where she discovered a love for the arts, public radio, and live music. After college, Alex moved to Seattle to pursue a career as a performing artist, musician, and songwriter, where she has independently released music and toured in a van across the United States. In January 2020, Alex was encouraged to pursue a career opportunity in recruitment, where she discovered a career that utilizes her strengths of relationship building, collaboration, research, and leading with vulnerability and curiosity. She is looking forward to growing with CfA, a mission driven organization that makes a difference in people’s lives every single day. Outside of work, you can still find Alex on stage with her band, living (again) in Bellingham, WA, attending a local concert, attending gatherings and bonfires with friends, reading cozy fantasy and science fiction books and building her personal library, or joining the fandom of a new tv show series.
