Greg Jordan-Detamore

Greg is the Associate Director, Human-Centered Government at Code for America.
Previously he was a Senior Manager on the What Works Cities initiative at Results for America. He worked on a program that recognizes and supports local governments excelling at data-driven governance — specifically leading the expansion of the program to Latin America.
Prior to this role, he was the Strategy & Design Lead for the Open Cities team of the What Works Cities initiative. His focus was on helping local governments around the U.S. connect community members with government data using user-centered design methods. He has also extensively advised government officials on strategy, policy, and implementation of open data.
Additionally, Greg has led visual design, web development, and data analysis for the Sunlight Foundation’s Open Cities team and its web resources.Previously, he worked at a nonprofit doing data analysis and GIS work for community partners and government agencies in Rhode Island. Outside of work, he is director of Code for DC, a part of the Code for America brigade network.
Greg attended Brown University, where he studied Urban Studies and Geological Sciences.
