Jennifer Thom (she/her)

Jenn leads the Data Science team and is a key leadership driver in the development and execution of Code for America’s AI strategy.  Prior to joining Code for America, she led a group of research scientists at Spotify focused on building interactive AI-driven prototypes to unlock novel music and podcast listening experiences. Her past experience includes collecting and creating large scale datasets for training natural language understanding models at Amazon Alexa and analyzing information networks to describe collaboration patterns supported by social software at IBM Research. She received a BS in Human Service Studies and a MS and PhD focused on human-computer interaction from Cornell University. Outside of work, Jenn lives in the Greater Boston area with her partner and two cats and enjoys gardening and trail running.
