Juliette Cho (she/her)
- Head of Philanthropy, Code for America
Juliette Hye-Young Cho is the Head of Philanthropy at Code for America, where she leads the organization’s philanthropic strategy and team. She focuses on building durable, forward-looking partnerships that fund work to strengthen the benefits safety net and improve how government delivers services—from tax systems to criminal justice—across the country.
Before joining Code for America, Juliette was Senior Director of Philanthropy at Benefits Data Trust, where she helped lead efforts to raise $35 million to expand access to public benefits for low-income households. As a first-generation college graduate whose path was made possible by programs like FAFSA, she brings a personal commitment to ensuring government systems work better for the people who rely on them.
Juliette has spent her career in the social sector, holding fundraising leadership roles at organizations including Pencils of Promise, UNICEF, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the American Red Cross. Across these roles, she has built and scaled donor programs spanning individuals, institutions, corporations, and grassroots communities. She also served as the first female Vice President of Partnerships at Catchafire, where she helped grow the organization’s network of funders and nonprofit partners from 15 to more than 120.
Outside of work, Juliette can be found chasing her two sons around Philadelphia with her husband, listening to podcasts, watching PBS documentaries, and holding out hope that one day she’ll meet Beyoncé.
