Luis Nicolaou (he/him)

Luis Nicolaou joins us after discovering civic tech feels like home. His career has been in technology with the majority of his time spent in product management with some early days spent as a software developer and solution’s architect. Prior to joining us Luis spent 4 years in civic tech working for several federal agencies and a state partner doing a mix of implementation and growth work for both new and existing partners including SSA, State of Colorado, and the Department of Education. He’s looking forward to continuing his civic tech service at Code for America to help government better serve all people. His experience spans tech across multiple industries (nutrition and wellness, pre-clinical research, K-12 education, mobile virtual assistants, and middleware), mobile and web applications, different product management and software development frameworks, and cross-continent teams. Outside of work Luis enjoys spending time with family, learning anything about space, the universe, modern aircraft, watching Premier League soccer, and DIY home improvements. Luis holds a B.S. degrees in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from Tufts University.
