Mary Hamlin (she/her)

Mary joins Code for America as a Principal Solutions Architect on the Social Safety Net program. Having worked in the private sector for most of her career, she is excited to have the opportunity to use her background in technology to make a real difference in the world! Mary has a passion for technology and particularly for solving business problems using technology. She lives in the Washington DC metro area with her wife Kim and their two dogs Bella and Lucy. And when she isn’t working hard to strengthen the country’s social safety net, you can find her enjoying time with friends and family at one of the area’s many wineries or breweries or nerding out gaming, reading, or binge watching the latest Netflix series.

Fun fact(s) – I am a (very small) shareholder in a local brewery here in DC called City-State Brewing Co.  Also, my wife and I own a camper and some property out in the mountains of WV where we go to unwind and escape the city and that was a real lifesaver during the COVID lockdowns when “getting away” wasn’t really an option.
