Melanie Mazanec

Prior to joining Code for America, Melanie worked as a software engineer for public interest tech consultancy Bloom Works Digital, the City of Asheville, North Carolina, and a cybersecurity startup. She has also served as a co-chair of the CfA Brigade Network National Advisory Council and is a longtime brigade volunteer. Prior to getting into tech, Melanie earned an MPA and worked in music and education.

When she’s not busy convincing fellow engineers to read through the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines at least once, she reads, rides bicycles, and plays trumpet. Melanie lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
