Yasmin Fodil

  • Chief of Staff, Code for America

Yasmin’s (she/her/ella) career has been at the intersection of human-centered design, organizing, and change management. Most recently Yasmin served as the Chief Program Officer at 100Kin10, where she focused on building the vision, strategy, team, and technical infrastructure to scale the impact of a network of 320+ organizations dedicated to ending the STEM teacher shortage.

Before 100Kin10 Yasmin spent six years as a consultant and worked with clients like the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development, Chicago Public Library, and the Massachusetts Broadband Institute to design services (digital & experiential) that better met the needs of their communities. During this time Yasmin designed and taught a course at NYU Wagner called “Digital Innovation Lab,” a masters-level course to help MPA candidates learn how to better solve public problems using digital technology. Yasmin got her start at the NYC Department of Education helping to create a plan to increase access to arts education for NYC public school students, and has spent time organizing with various community-based initiatives. Yasmin has a bachelor’s degree in government from Cornell University and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University.

Yasmin was raised in Los Angeles but currently lives in New York City with her partner and cat, Minou. Yasmin enjoys cooking, cycling, talking on the phone with her family, and decompressing with a little reality TV.
