We are seeking government partners for the second cohort of our recently launched Safety Net Innovation Lab. The Lab is a philanthropically-supported, multi-year initiative to partner with government agencies from states, tribal nations, districts, and territories to improve the equity, accessibility, and customer experience of safety net benefits programs.
We have launched a Request for Information (RFI) to solicit interest from eligible agencies interested in partnering with us to reach 13 million people and unlock $30 billion in benefits in the areas of food assistance, health care, and other basic needs.
Eligible agencies should submit the form to request a copy of the RFI. If your agency is an eligible applicant, we will send you a copy within one business day.
The RFI is due Friday, July 8, 2022 at 11:59pm PDT.
We will also be holding an information session on Thursday, June 2nd from 12-1pm PDT. Zoom details are included in the RFI.
Eligible government agencies include those that administer safety net programs or are partnered with a safety net administering agency (e.g., Departments of Innovation or Technology partnered with the relevant department in their jurisdiction). U.S. states, territories, districts, and tribal nations that administer safety net programs are eligible to apply. We will not be accepting county/local level applications at this time.
We will only select one application and partnership per state and will not be able to support separate projects across different safety net administering agencies in one state. If we receive separate applications from multiple agencies within a state, we may explore the feasibility of partnering with multiple agencies under one mutually beneficial cross-agency partnership. We also encourage governments to coordinate relevant agencies in their state.
