Right now, thousands of volunteers are getting ready to #HackforChange this weekend. Good news: we’re not alone in our excitement!
“The most important word in the Constitution — that document that starts with ‘we the people’ — is that first word: we . We have the capacity to make the kind of change we want to see around the country. And that’s what National Day of Civic Hacking is all about. And that’s why we’re so excited you’re participating,” said Cecilia Muñoz. ( She’ll also be speaking at the Code for America Summit this fall! )
Megan Smith and White House Policy Advisor Kristen Honey will be at National Day of Civic Hacking events in DC . The US Chief Data Scientist DJ Patil will be traveling to St. Louis, Charlotte and Miami on what’s perhaps the most epic #civictech road trip ever.
We’ve worked with several federal agencies to launch challenges around some of our toughest issues. You can check them out here!
If you’re following along at home this weekend watch #HackforChange for news and updates.
Happy National Day of Civic Hacking!
