Ayobami Laniyonu (he/him)

Ayo is a quantitative social scientist whose research focuses on race, urban politics, and criminal-legal reform. He has consulted with the Ontario Human Rights Commission, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and Center for Policing Equity on research related to alternative responders to 911, racially discriminatory policing, and criminal-legal data. He comes most recently from the University of Toronto, where he was an assistant professor in the Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies. Ayo holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and an M.S. in Statistics, both from the University of California, Los Angeles.
