Denise Feinsod

Denise Feinsod (she/her) comes to Code for America with many years of financial management and leadership experience at nonprofits as well as privately-held and public companies. Most recently she served as Chief Financial Officer for University of California Press, a mission-driven nonprofit academic publisher, and before that as Director of Finance & Operations for Daily Kos, a progressive news and activism community. Denise brings an inquisitive mind, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for translating financial data into understandable, actionable information.

Denise lives in Oakland, CA and is the proud parent of 2 awesome humans who inspire her every day. She loves Lake Merritt and the A’s, takes lots of long walks and reads a ton, and has built some seriously geeky knitting-related spreadsheets.
