Elena Fortuna

Elena holds a master’s degree from UC Berkeley and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), certified as an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) clinician. She co-created and institutionalized an annual symposium and curriculum supporting professionals to address institutional biases and systemic oppression. In the past 11+ years, she has worked as a therapist, researcher, social worker, and program developer in roles at UC Berkeley’s Golden Bear Sleep and Mood Research Clinic, Alameda County’s Children and Family Services, and most recently, at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.

In addition, Elena loves to solve problems and is most excited when she can support sustainable changes that promote equity and well-being. When she is not working you will find her getting certified as a yoga instructor specializing in Trauma-Sensitive yoga, training as a volunteer firefighter, cooking, kayaking, or playing the cello.
