Jen Long

Jen Long is the Director of Design at Code for America. She leads the organization’s effort to make government services simple, effective, and easy to use, by design. Her team uses empathy and creativity to tackle enormous social challenges. Previously, she led design teams at Slack, Google, and eBay. She was the founder and CEO of Mapcat, a search and mapping startup. She is best known for designing the search, voice, and maps experience on Google Glass. Jen is a Bay Area native and a graduate of UC Santa Cruz. She lives in San Francisco’s Excelsior District with her two kids, hubby, and, someday, a Westfalia van.
