Julianne Kirgis (she/they)

Julianne (Julie) Kirgis holds a PhD in Education Policy and Leadership Studies with a focus on sociology of education. Before turning to people operations, Julie served as both an administrator and a faculty member teaching sociology at community colleges and four-year institutions. Julie is an experienced senior leader of complex systems with a background in employee and union relations, program evaluation, supervision and coaching, teaching and professional development, and fostering diversity, inclusivity, equity and belonging.

When not at work, Julie is learning to paint in oils, working in the garden, and caring for a small flock of very noisy chickens. Although feeling a little rusty, Julie also speaks French and is always eager for opportunities to practice!
