Kerry Rodden

Kerry specializes in quantitative data analysis and visualization, and previously worked as a data visualization developer at Observable, after a couple of years of consulting (including helping with the 50 states project for Code for America). They originated the role of quantitative UX researcher at Google, focusing on large-scale usage data analysis, including development of the HEART framework for UX metrics and the sequences sunburst visualization of aggregated user paths. Kerry has a PhD in human–computer interaction from the University of Cambridge, UK, and grew up in Scotland, retaining most of the accent plus a deep appreciation for the value of a strong social safety net.
