Rebecca Michelson

Rebecca Michelson (she/her) is a Researcher whose commitment to equitable technologies led her to pursue a MS in Human-Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington. Originally from San Francisco, Rebecca brings diverse stories, voices, and skill sets together to tackle complex issues. Prior to her graduate studies, Rebecca applied design research methods on social impact projects across industry and academia. During her time at the Engagement Lab at Emerson College, she worked on civic innovation projects spanning from a municipal public engagement accelerator to managing a hackathon and policy summit on equitable design of breast pumps and paid family leave benefits.Outside of design research, Rebecca enjoys making stained glass art, drinking boba, and supporting teen camping trips. She speaks Russian with her family and welcomes more practice.
