Renato Rocha

  • Former Associate Policy Director, Code for America

Renato Rocha is an Associate Policy Director for the Safety Net portfolio, working to make public benefit delivery more accessible and equitable. Before joining Code for America, he was a Senior Policy Analyst at the Center for Law and Social Policy and deputy director at the Protecting Immigrant Families (PIF) coalition, which brings together more than 500 diverse organizations from more than 40 states to protect and advance immigrant families’ access to public benefit programs. Prior to that, Renato was an economic policy analyst at UnidosUS (formerly National Council of La Raza) and, in graduate school, had the opportunity to work at the National Immigration Law Center. Renato holds a master’s degree in public affairs from Princeton University and a B.A. in politics from Occidental College, and served as a Fulbright Public Policy Initiative Fellow to Mexico.
