Summit 2024 Call for Proposals

From November 3–14, we want to hear your ideas for lightning talks, panel discussions, and interactive activities at our next Summit

Code for America’s annual Summit is the civic tech event of the year. It’s where government leaders, community organizers, researchers, technologists, and more gather to discuss the most pressing issues facing the civic tech and government innovation fields. We’re excited to bring everyone together for three days of connection and problem solving from May 28–30, 2024, in Oakland, California.

The best part of Summit is the community—and now, we want to hear from you about the knowledge you can share with us all. Our Summit call for proposals will be open from November 3–14, and we encourage everyone who has something important to share about building a new digital age that works for all to let us know why others need to hear it.

Learn about selection criteria, submission requirements, and more on our Summit site.

We know from attendees at our previous Summits that the sessions they like best are the interactive ones—so if you’ve got an idea that will engage the crowd in an activity, we especially want to hear from you.

You can submit multiple ideas (via multiple submissions of the entry form), and can pick which session category works best for you. This year, we’re accepting proposals for webinars, five-minute lightning talks, panel discussions, breakout presentations, and more. Each submission should align with one of our Summit tracks: Service Design + Delivery, Policy + Administration, People Power + Community, and Emerging Technology + Innovation.

That last track is new, and we can’t wait to see your submissions focused on leveraging the latest technological advancements to build more equitable and efficient public services.

Summit 2024 will begin with one day of workshops on Tuesday, May 28, followed by two days of mainstage and session programming on May 29 and 30.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Oakland in spring. In the meantime, submit your proposal for Summit 2024 when our submission window opens, from November 3–14.
