Shayna Cummings

Shayna Cummings (she/her) is a Principal Solutions Engineer at Code for America, working alongside state partners to automate the clearance of eligible criminal records. Throughout her career, Shayna’s focus has been building tools to make complex systems more inclusive and accessible. Prior to Code for America, she held software engineering and project management roles in education and healthcare tech. She received her BA in Linguistics and Psychology from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She resides in the Boston area and teaches software development in a variety of community organizations.
